Submitting a Play
Thank you for your interest in Gloucester
Stage Company. Since its inception, development and presentation of new
work has been a key component of the Gloucester Stage Company mission.
We are happy to receive new works from emerging and well-established
writers.
While we would like to support the development of plays of every scope
and genre, we are focusing, at this juncture, on works that are
producible at the Gloucester Stage. We appreciate creativity and
originality, but large casts (over six actors), elephants, and water
ballets are beyond our means!
About Our Venue
The Gloucester Stage is a 600 sq. foot thrust surrounded by 190 seats.
There are no wings or fly space. Actors enter and exit via upstage and
downstage entrances.

In order to give consideration to as many submissions as possible, we
ask that you provide:

received. Please forward any updates following your initial submission.

names, ages, genders, options for double casting, and a descriptive
phrase about each character.
