Our Plans and Policies for Keeping You Safe at the Theater

Attending Theater Indoors Safely

As we continue to adapt to changing health needs and state/local mandates we understand that getting everyone on the same page will take patience and grace, and we ask that you give our staff the same understanding as we all learn together. We will continue to review these policies as circumstances evolve and change.

Indoor Safety Policies for Patrons

  • The easiest way to gain admittance to Gloucester Stage is by being fully vaccinated. This means your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or your single dose of Johnson & Johnson was administered at least 14 days prior to attendance.
  • In order to attend any shows indoors at Gloucester Stage, theater goers over the age of 5 years old must show either proof of vaccination, a negative PCR COVID test from the last 72 hours, or a negative Antigen test from the last 24 hours.
  • CDC approved masks are required regardless of vaccination status when watching a performance at Gloucester Stage indoors.
  • If on the day of the event if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, please stay home and contact our Box Office for an exchange or refund.

Theater goers can present proof of vaccination or a negative test in one of two ways:
  1. By bringing a physical vaccine card or negative covid test result, or a photo of a vaccine card or negative covid test result.
  2. The Bindle app (click here to learn more) is a free, easy-to-use app allowing you to keep your vaccination and testing information private and secure making your entrance to Gloucester Stage and several other Boston-area theaters hassle-free.
