Be immersed in the words of Samuel Beckett as audiences of only 30 gather around a single performer murmuring into the darkness. Texts For Nothing plumbs the depths of isolation and dread in this stark meditation on the nature of being. 

Originally produced by Nervous Theatre, the production is directed by Connor Berkompas with sound design by Cameron Willard. About Doug Lockwood

Performer

Doug is a Boston and New England area actor and director where he works as an Associate Professor of Theatre at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In 2004 he became a founding member of The Actors’ Shakespeare Project (ASP), a company devoted to sight-specific Shakespeare plays where he has directed and performed in numerous productions. Doug will play Touchstone in ‘As You Like It’ in the Spring of 2023 with ASP.

About Connor Berkompas

Director / Designer

Connor is a theatre-maker and teaching artist originally from California. He is the founding artistic director of Nervous Theatre, a nomadic theatrical collective currently based in Bozeman, Montana. His most recent production STRANGE MATING CALLS, a world premiere devised production based on Pasolini’s Teorema, was presented at the TinworksArt Exhibit 2021. Other projects with Nervous Theatre include a touring production of THE MAIDS (Tenth Ave Arts Center, Isaac Studio Theatre, Ellen Theatre) and MOMMY’S DEAD AND THEY BURIED HER IN MOSCOW (Derek Award at the Edinburgh Fringe) a riff on Chekhov’s Three Sisters.
